End User License Agreement

Android and Smart TV Services

These terms of this End User License Agreement (“Agreement”) apply if you are resident in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. If you are a resident in another country, the terms and conditions which apply to you can be found if you select one of that country’s main languages on your Android device. By clicking “Accept” you confirm that you are over 16 years old, and that you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree to be bound by this Agreement or are not over 16 years old you may not use the VidZone™ music video streaming service. This Agreement is a contract between you and VidZone™, a division of Rants Limited. It is governed by English law. In consideration of you agreeing to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are granted a non-transferable non-exclusive licence to watch streaming music videos (“Content”) using the VidZone™ service via your Android device (“the Service”) for your personal, non-commercial purposes only. If you use the Service as part of a business, or in a business or commercial environment other than for your personal consumption, you will breach this Agreement. You may also be liable to pay additional fees to collecting societies and/or copyright owners. You may access and use the Service in accordance with this Agreement but VidZone™ reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Service without prior notice and VidZone™ may also suspend or restrict access to the Service indefinitely at any time. The Service uses cookies.  It is not currently possible to block or disable cookies from the Service and it is important that you understand the cookies that we use and the reason that we use them.  For more information about the types of cookies used and their purpose please view the cookies section of our Privacy Policy.  If you are not happy for these cookies to be placed on your device as part of the Service please do not use the Service.  If you do use the Service these cookies will be placed on your device. You are not required to pay anything to VidZone™ for the Service. The Service makes use of your internet connection (and if your device is a mobile or handheld device, this may include using your data-allowance), for which your service provider may charge you, and for which you are responsible and liable. If you agree to the Samsung Single Sign On service when registering for the Service your Samsung device will automatically connect to the Service each time you select the Service’s icon on your Samsung device and you will not need to enter your password each time. Other individuals may use the Service on your Android device subject to the terms of this Agreement. You are responsible and liable for all such use as if you were using the Service yourself. You are not permitted to rent, lease, sub-license, loan, translate, merge, adapt, vary, modify or copy the Service or any part of it, including the Content. VidZone™ may terminate this Agreement immediately at any time, for any reason, by displaying a notice of termination on your Android device. If this Agreement is terminated you will not be permitted to use the Service. You may terminate this Agreement immediately at any time, for any reason, by emailing VidZone™ at contact@vidzone.tvwith your online ID. You may also terminate this Agreement by deleting the VidZone™ music video streaming service application from your Android device. You will not be able to access or use the Service again unless you accept the Agreement. Please note that terminating your device account does not automatically terminate your VidZone™ account.

Fair Usage Policy: VidZone™ reserves the right to temporarily suspend your access to the Service if, in VidZone™’s opinion, your activity is considered to be excessive. Excessive users may be suspended for one month and then reinstated. Should you reoffend within 3 months, VidZone™ reserves the right to permanently terminate your access to the Service without liability to you. All intellectual property rights in the Service, Content and Adverts belong to VidZone™ or its licensors. You do not have any rights in or to the Service, Content or Adverts other than the right to use each of them in accordance with this Agreement. You may not copy all or any part of the Content or Adverts except where permitted by law but you may link to the Content on Facebook (and people following that link can then view the Content via the Service). Any content stored on your Android device is encrypted and protected by technological protection measures, any circumvention of which may be a criminal offence. Other than as set out in this Agreement, or to the extent that such liability may be not excluded by law, VidZone™ gives no warranty about the quality, functionality, availability, completeness, accuracy or performance of the Service, Adverts or any Content. VidZone™ does not guarantee the Service will always be available or error free and VidZone™ shall not be liable if, for any reason, the Service, Adverts or any Content, is unavailable at any time or for any period. VidZone™ shall use its reasonable commercial endeavours to show Content and Adverts that it considers to be age-appropriate and adhere to any age advisory notices. However, you acknowledge and accept that occasionally content that you may consider to be inappropriate (because, for example, it contains offensive or explicit lyrics) may form part of the Content and/or Adverts, and VidZone™ and its licensors shall not be liable to you in this regard. If you believe that inappropriate content has been displayed you may notify VidZone™ by emailing and VidZone™ may, at its discretion, use its reasonable commercial endeavours to investigate your report but shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in doing so. VidZone™ excludes all liability for loss of business, goodwill, profit, saving or loss or corruption of data or unauthorised access to data and for damage caused to your software, devices or other hardware as a result of using or accessing the Service, whether direct or indirect, and all indirect and consequential losses arising under this Agreement or in connection with the Service. In the event that VidZone™ is liable to you for failure to deliver Content, Adverts or Services, that liability is limited to re-providing the relevant, or comparable, Content, Adverts or Service. VidZone™’s total aggregate liability in any other circumstances is limited to £25 (or equivalent in local currency). This Agreement sets out your sole and exclusive rights in connection with the Service. This Agreement and the above limitations, exclusions and disclaimers apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. However nothing in this Agreement shall limit or exclude VidZone™’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which may not be properly limited or excluded under applicable law and any statutory rights that you may have as a consumer are not affected by this Agreement.

Privacy: We process information about you in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to such processing and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate. In addition, you consent to the following information about you being used by VidZone™ and transferred to VidZone™’s selected advertising partners: your name, age, gender, location and your email address. VidZone™’s advertising partners will use this information solely for the provision of targeted advertisements displayed as part of the Service (Adverts”). You may opt out of the use of this information for advertising purposes at any time by terminating this Agreement, as described above. Upon termination VidZone™ will delete your personal data, and require its advertising partners to delete it as well. To enable VidZone™ to provide the Service to you, VidZone™ will obtain certain information from the device manufacturer which you provided as part of your registration with the online device. By using the Service you consent to this information, and the information which VidZone™ obtains from you under this Agreement being used to: • Provide targeted advertising using VidZone™’s selected advertising partner during your use of the Service • Enable VidZone™ to improve the Service to users • Enable you to share your playlists and other user generated content • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including by transferring the information to regulators, VidZone™’s professional advisers, and law enforcement and other governmental bodies. In addition, information about your use of the Service may be shared with the device manufacturer and its affiliated companies. The information that we collect from you may be transferred to and stored at a destination outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and may be processed by persons operating outside the EEA who work for us or one of our affiliates or advertising partners. If any of the personal information which VidZone™ holds about you becomes inaccurate, please inform The Service is provided by Rants Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with registration number 04309174. A copy of these terms and conditions may be consulted at any time here You can opt out of receiving email marketing from VidZone™ by contacting VidZone™ on the above email address and asking to opt out. VidZone™ complies with the Data Protection Act 1998, and VidZone™’s notification can be found by searching VidZone™ may change the terms of this Agreement from time to time by notifying you when you next log in to the Service. You will be given an opportunity to review the new terms before using the Service. If you choose not to accept the new terms this Agreement will terminate and you will no longer be able to access the Service.

Privacy Policy

Rants Limited (trading as VidZone™) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Policy sets out the information that we collect from and about you and how we use it. Please read this Policy carefully. By using any services that we provide (“Services”) you are agreeing with the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy please do not use our Services.

Information that we may collect

We may collect and process the following information about you:

  • Information that you provide when registering for and/or using the Services including your email address and other contact details.
  • A record of any correspondence between you and us.
  • Details of transactions that you carry out when using the Services.
  • Details of your use of the Services, the resources that you access and the adverts that are displayed.

IP addresses

When you use the Services we may collect information about your device. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. We use this information for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.


A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on the permanent memory of your device.

The Service use cookies to distinguish you from other users. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you use the Services and also allows us to improve Services. The table below explains the cookies that we use and why:

Because of the way the Service operates, it is not possible to block or disable cookies.  If you do not consent to the use of cookies for the purposes described below then you must not use the Service.  If you do use the Service then cookies will be placed on your device.

Where we store your personal information

The information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing any payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy.

All information that you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of Service, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to the Services; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Uses made of the information

We use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To ensure that the Services are presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Services, when you choose to do so.
  • To notify you about changes to our Services.

We may also use your information, or permit selected third parties to use your information, to provide you with information about goods and services which may be of interest to you and we or they may contact you about these by email using the details that you have provided to us.

We also provide certain information to our carefully selected advertising partners to enable them to provide relevant and interesting adverts via the Services. The information that we provide to these advertising partners will not identify you as an individual but may include your age, gender, location and email address through which you access the Services. Our selected advertisers are only allowed to use this information to provide targeted advertisements to you via the Service but if you click on any of those adverts you may be redirected to a third party website and that third party’s privacy policy and terms and conditions may apply. We have no control over third party privacy policies and terms and conditions and have not responsibility or liability for how they use information that you provide to them. We may also use aggregate information which does not identify individuals to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, men aged 25-25 in London). We may make use of the personal information that we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertising partners wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

In order to provide the Services to you we will also obtain certain information from the device manufacturer which you provided as part of your registration and we may share information that you provide to us with the device manufacturer.

If you do not want us to use your information in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties then you should email us However, you should be aware that this may mean that we are unable to provide the Services to you.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If our company, or substantially all of our assets, are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by us about our customers will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use for the Services and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our customers, or others. Access to information

You have the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. If you make an access request we may charge you a fee of £10 to cover our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
